About the King’s Lynn Film Festival

Celebrating cinema, culture, and community in West Norfolk

Our Story and Mission

King’s Lynn Film Festival (KLFF) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), registered with the Charity Commission (no. 1163058).

Founded in 2015 by Ian Barton, Sue Burge, Amanda Goldsmith and Paul Andrews, the festival grew out of the King’s Lynn Community Cinema Club — a thriving, non-profit membership organisation that continues to host monthly screenings at the historic Guildhall on King Street.

KLFF was established to give audiences in King’s Lynn, West Norfolk and beyond the chance to experience a broader variety of films, while dedicating an annual occasion to celebrating cinema and the impact it has on our lives.

Our mission is to promote appreciation and education in the art and craft of cinema and moving images. We achieve this by staging our annual film festival, along with educational events and activities that connect audiences with the creative and cultural power of film.
